BUTOH & VOICE

A collaboration between soprano Aphrodite Patoulidou and Butoh artist Maria Lappa, bringing together two highly physical forms of expression: the operatic voice and the Japanese dance form of Butoh.

Conceived as a solo performance, the project combines vocal expression, movement and theatrical presence, opening up new possibilities for the operatic voice beyond the traditional concert setting.
